Coastal & River Kayaking
St. Lucia is the perfect get-away for kayaking exploration and fun. The rugged terrain showcases spectacular rain forest and steep mountains which giving way to valleys that open to canopied estuaries and mangrove forest, numerous islets that protect and embrace the coastline.
This short tour is a wonderful introduction to kayaking since it allows you to kayak a bay, a river and the majestic Caribbean Sea. We use touring kayaks with rudders, storage hatches and bulkheads. Some units use spray skirts and others are sit-on-tops. We offer a training component especially for the use of the touring (sit-in-side) units. We depart from the Marigot Bay dive shop and run along the sheltered west coast of the island into the Roseau River. This canopied river estuary is the feeding ground for many of the bird inhabitances.

Coastal Kayaking
This tour uses the same equipment and qualified staff as the above river tour but has a hiking component (the St. Lucia National Trust campsite at Anse La Liberte). We also offer here a training component especially for the use of the touring (sit-in-side) units. We depart from the Anse Cochon dive shop and run along the sheltered west coast pass the fishing village of Canaries to the Anse La Liberte campsite. A short hike takes the participants to the communal center for lunch and relaxation after which you will work your way back to the kayak for the return trip.
Duration: 2 ½ to 3 hours (actual tour time)
Cost: US$66 per person.
Clients are requested to take along their hiking attire, sunscreen lotion, insect repellent and water bottle.
Children under 12: 50% rebate when there is a minimum of 4 adults taking the ride.
