Oasis Marigot Adventures
Kayaking in St. Lucia
Available all week, reservations needed.
Coastal & River Kayaking.
St. Lucia is the perfect get-away for kayaking exploration and fun.
The rugged terrain showcases spectacular rain forest and steep
mountains which giving way to valleys that open to canopied estuaries
and mangrove forest, numerous islets that protect and embrace the coastline.
This short tour is a wonderful introduction to kayaking since it allows you to
kayak a bay, a river and the majestic Caribbean Sea. We use touring kayaks with
rudders, storage hatches and bulkheads. Some units use spray skirts and others
are sit-on-tops. We offer a training component especially for the use of the
touring (sit-in-side) units. We depart from the Marigot Bay dive shop and run
along the sheltered west coast of the island into the Roseau River. This canopied
river estuary is the feeding ground for many of the bird inhabitances.
Duration: 1 ½ to 2 hours (actual tour time)
Level of Difficulty: Easy
Cost: US$66 per person.
Clients are requested to take along sunscreen lotion, insect repellent and water bottle.
This tour uses the same equipment and qualified staff as the above river tour
but has a hiking component (the St. Lucia National Trust campsite at Anse La Liberte).
We also offer here a training component especially for the use of the touring
(sit-in-side) units. We depart from the Anse Cochon dive shop and run along the
sheltered west coast pass the fishing village of Canaries to the Anse La Liberte

and relaxation after which you will work your way back to the kayak for the return trip.
