Overview

The Great House continues the distinguished tradition of the original great houses that once overlooked vast Caribbean plantations – but now featuring a breathtaking, panoramic view over Marigot Bay – “The most beautiful bay in the Caribbean”. Tropical gardens of royal palms and flowering orchids complement this spacious and inviting villa. A beautiful freshwater swimming pool and a large cliff-hanging terrace overlooking Marigot Bay complete the picture. The house is perfect for groups of all sizes, from the romantic couple to the large group getaway. The Great House, pool, and grounds are entirely private to your party, so you can relax and enjoy how you wish.

The Great House opens up with three classically styled columns, giving rise to the grand living room and balcony. The interior of the villa is spacious, light, and inviting – and is taken care of by a dedicated and friendly set of staff. Outside the house, beautiful gardens surround the lawns and pool, creating a truly tropical atmosphere for your St. Lucia vacation.

The upper level features the grand living room and balcony, along with a fully-equipped kitchen and cozy dining room – also with a view of the bay. There are three bedrooms on the upper level for a total of 6 guests. The first level features a living room and a spacious patio and an outdoor lawn and gardens. It has a kitchen and a living room with a dining table. There are one bedroom and a pull-out sofa bed for extra guests.

Both levels share wonderful views of the enchanting ocean vistas and the bay. They both have direct access to the pool and pool-side deck. Don’t forget there is also a detached cottage (bedroom) located by the pool deck- a private sanctuary for the extra romantics. Please let us know in advance if you will need the cottage.

Note: A/C in 3 bedrooms Only. The mezzanine and cottage bedrooms do not have a/c.

Location & Proximity

The Great House is a 15-minute walk down the hillside to the beach of Marigot Bay, as well as the restaurants, a dive shop, and much more. There are plenty of water sport activities at the beach such as; peddle boat, kayak, and Hobie cat rentals, a designated swimming/snorkeling area, as well as complimentary beach chairs for all guests.

What’s so good about the Great House is that it has access to two bays! There is a small, secluded bay that is very quiet and almost empty of people just to the south of Marigot Bay called Trou Rolland. Similarly, it is only about a 10-minute walk away and is a beautiful, peaceful refuge for the quiet beachgoer or fisherman.
