The longest beaches on St. Lucia The beaches at Rodney Bay are the longest and most enjoyable on St. Lucia. (All beaches on the island are open to the public.) Reduit Beach and the beach in front of Gros Islet are separated only by the sea channel to Rodney Bay. A car will get you to either in about 5 minutes - you can also easily walk - but the Rodney Bay ferry seems the best way since it is so close to your villa. The ferry crosses between the marina and the shopping complex, and travels regularly to the beaches, including Pigeon Island on the trip towards Gros Islet.
